We see it differently. In America, the restroom is called a "restroom," meaning a relaxation room—which every woman understands. The restroom is a place of retreat. A space to unwind for a moment and freshen up. Therefore, it was important to us to have a vanity that didn't look like millions of others. We learned about bulbaum through a regular guest. We thought, "A call can't hurt." It turned out to be a relaxed phone call. We realized that our guests and bulbaum's customers are similar. Both groups have good taste and are easy to interact with. After the phone call, things continued smoothly. Achim Tossing came by in person. We told him what we had in mind and what our wishes were. This led to a lively exchange of ideas. While we were still talking, Achim Tossing created a drawing—the live result of our brainstorming, so to speak. Just a few days later, we received a digital design. The implementation was also a breeze. Within three weeks, the design became a handcrafted and installed vanity. And the quality? It's top-notch! Daniela Schmitt Achim Tossing came up with the idea of choosing organoid, among other materials, for the project. It's a material made from natural materials. I wanted an alpine meadow with hay, daisies, cornflowers, and other blossoms. So now, when I come home from work, there's a subtle scent of hay, and I immediately feel at ease. To keep the stairs from being too dark, one half of the wall has discreet openings—they're shaped like the Hawaiian Islands. This is how the idea of converting this entrance into a closet was born. I searched online for built-in closets, but all I found were run-of-the-mill ones with plastic handles and a single clothes rail. I felt my money was too precious for that. At Bulbaum, everything is made of solid wood—exactly what I wanted—and even includes beautiful drawers and shelves. Of course, everything is custom-made. This is clearly visible in the wall paneling around the built-in cabinet. Each step was individually measured, and a template was created here on-site over two days of detailed work. We shared what we envisioned and how. And Mr. Tossing didn't just nod along, but pointed out critical points. We even heard phrases like, "I'm afraid it won't work like that," "It might be annoying," and "It would be impractical in everyday life." But that was a good thing. Because we realized: Here, someone is willing to listen to us. Here, someone thinks for us, offers solutions, and, above all, takes their time. At bulbaum, we spent hours poring over the designs and plans, discussing details and repeatedly making changes. That gave us security. We knew we were protected from any unpleasant surprises. This was also because we could trust his team. Mr. Tossing not only guided us through his workshop and his daily life; he also shared his vision with us. We clearly sensed his team's enthusiasm, and it was fascinating to see how the furniture was created and to touch the wood. This made the whole thing tangible, to come alive. And it gave us ideas. After all, there was a lot to change. It started with the staircase made of wood and glass elements, which extends over three floors. Recently, the matching door between the hallway and the living area followed. What also struck us positively about this project: bulbaum thinks across trades. When it came to the LEDs in the staircase, Mr. Tossing personally contacted our electrician to ensure that everything worked as planned. Working with bulbaum is simply a pleasure. That's why it was a given who we would call first for bathroom furniture or the large bench in the dining room. And just recently, we commissioned our hallway wardrobe from bulbaum. We'll see what comes next! As I said, renovating a house is a lifelong project. make a wish come true "bulbaum said: this is going to be awesome! – and it was right!" Mayer-Sax family The Mayer-Sax family lives in Mamer, Luxembourg. After living in their house for 20 years, the opportunity arose to gradually renovate their 1980 residence. The windows were renovated by Coplaning, a trusted project partner of bulbaum. So, contact was quickly established. We felt it was time for a change. We wanted to use certain rooms differently, to design them differently. Of course, we had a few ideas. But everything was still pretty vague. Nothing concrete. For example, we envisioned a guest room that would serve as both an office and a kind of retreat where you could lie down and read. A room that was both functional and comfortable. That certainly sounds like a bit of a jack of all trades. So we asked ourselves if something like that was even possible, and if so, how. Coplaning had installed new windows and doors for us, and they recommended bulbaum. Mr. Tossing then came to visit us, and we immediately realized: This is a perfect fit! We were on the same wavelength. We then looked at the designs in Bitburg – we were blown away! Because we realized: Here, someone had understood exactly what we had in mind. All that remained was to clarify the colors and materials. Mr. Tossing also showed us the carpentry workshop. What we liked about it: How the employees interact with each other. We could sense their enthusiasm. Our impression was: They're just like their boss. They live for their craft. This was confirmed during the implementation. Everything went perfectly, even between the individual trades. Coordination went smoothly. First, Coplaning removed the old doors, built-in cabinets, and floors. Then came the flooring fitters, painters, and electricians, and finally, bulbaum. It went like clockwork. After three weeks, everything was finished. bulbaum kept their word. Mr. Tossing said, "This is going to be amazing!" – and it was true. The plan was good, but the reality was even better. Every time we walk into the room, we're blown away. And our guests feel the same way. That's why we also had bulbaum plan and implement a dressing room. Next up is the attic.
